So we live in a small-ish town. It is the perfect mix of small town character and access to big city perks. Every fall, we host an old fashion country fair. It is definitely something to look forward to. We always have a lot of fun and spend way too much money, but I would never miss it.
Mikayla had a lot of fun on all of the rides. Last year, she was a little apprehensive, but all fear was gone this year. She also had a lot of fun making new friends on many of the rides. Whenever she was in a car by herself, she would ask every child that walked by if the wanted to sit with her. She is so social.
She decided to have face painted like a kitty-cat. I think she makes a precious kitty.
Mikayla also had a lot of fun playing the games. She won some lovely prizes that have been added to our every outrageous collection of stuffed animals.
Gavin got to ride on the carousel with Mikayla. It was the only ride that I felt comfortable putting him on. There weren’t any others that a parent could ride on with them and I didn’t trust Mikayla to make sure he stayed in his seat. :) He loved the carousel – so much so that when it stopped he was taken off kicking and screaming. My favorite part of the fair is the food! The kids enjoyed that part, too. We had hand-dipped corn dogs, funnel cakes and cotton candy. YUMMY!
