Summer Fun

So, I am obviously not the best blogger.  It has been several weeks since I posted last.  We have been having so much fun this summer, though, that I really haven’t had the time.  So here is a look at some of the things that we have done so far this summer. IMG_2928

I purchased a little blowup pool at WalMart.  The kids love it and I enjoy having the opportunity to sit outside and get some sun, without having to constantly be in the pool.

IMG_2977  We have also had a lot of fun going to our neighborhood pool.  We load up the wagon and walk down.  At first, Gavin was a little hesitant about his transportation, but now he loves it.  I don’t have any pictures from the pool because, well, I have to be in their with them, so taking pictures is a little difficult.  I am considering getting a disposable waterproof camera to remedy this situation.IMG_2959 IMG_2961

Until we experienced the horribly oppressive southern heat that we have felt this week, we have just spent a lot of time playing outside.  I found this little tee set at Target and Mikayla has a lot of fun with it.  We haven’t been out as much during the day the past week or two.  The 95 degree heat is a bit of a deterrent, but we have taken advantage of the slightly cooler evenings and the summer time excuse to stay up a little later.  IMG_2973 IMG_2975 Mikayla has also been doing gymnastics this summer.  I don’t have any great pictures yet, because they don’t let the parents in there until the last day of the session ( which is Monday!).  Gavin is pretty good about hanging out in his stroller until her class is done.  He is so cute when you take a picture of him now.  As soon as you pull the camera out, he stops, looks at the camera, and says “Cheese!”.  It is so darn cute.

Okay, so I will try my best to be better at updating everyone with the comings and going of our family.  There is only about 2 1/2 months before Mikayla starts her last year of preschool.  :(
